After the success of NON and AWON, André Marissen, Josh Rozema (coordinators) and Julian Overweg took the initiative in 2023 to further roll out a comparable inventory platform for bees. After two well-attended pilot activities (Junner Koeland/Staatsbosbeheer and Wierdenseveld/Landschap Overijssel), there appeared to be sufficient interest and BijenWerkgroep Oost-Nederland (BWON) was born. The platform has more than 20 members.
